ALVAREZ ACOUSTIC GUITAR—MINT W/CASE—5088c ARTIST SERIES—AMAZING TONE!

The listing

One-of-a-kind vintage steel string acoustic (dreadnought) cutaway Alvarez 5088c Artist Series acoustic guitar in immaculate condition. Some very minor pick/finger strum brush marks on the pickguard but otherwise clean and gorgeous. Being offered by a recording artist who used it for years as a songwriting companion and was lovingly maintained by the artist's guitar tech. This instrument sounds light years better than any Alvarez we've ever heard. Truly a special guitar that was well-loved with mucho mojo from creating great music and having been played by the best. Originally picked out at the factory and was specially built cutaway with choice curly mahogany back, quarter sawn mahogany sides, luthier grade (possibly Adirondack) spruce top with silk-and-steel strings. Doesn't sound as boomy as a standard dreadnought because of the cutaway design and the special bracing. The pearl and abalone inlays on the fretboard and bridge pins are simply beautiful. Such a clean and well-made example of the best Alvarez has ever made. Such a fun and easy guitar to play with amazing tone. Definitely prefers lighter strings and the action feels really nice where it is. On sale for $495. Worth every penny. Cash or Zelle. Proceeds go to arts education charities.
