Fender Stratocaster 1985 Made in Japan
The listing
Up for sale is a fantastic piece of mid-1980s Fender history: a 1985 Made in Japan (MIJ) Fender Standard Stratocaster (Model #1). This guitar comes straight out of the legendary FujiGen plant during a golden era of Japanese craftsmanship. Serial Number: E506512 (Headstock decal) Specs & Features: Body Finish: Striking Candy Apple Red metallic finish. Neck: Maple neck with a comfortable profile and a fast maple fretboard. Headstock: Features the original factory "behind-the-nut" string-locking hardware clamps and dual string trees. Bridge System: Loaded with the highly regarded, German-engineered Fender System 1 Tremolo Bridge by Schaller. All original roller saddles and top-mounted fine-tuning thumb screws are present and fully adjustable. No tremolo arm. Pickguard: Upgraded to an eye-catching red pearloid/tortoise pickguard that beautifully complements the metallic body paint. Condition: The guitar plays beautifully and has that unmatched mid-80s FujiGen feel. The neck is straight, frets have plenty of life left, and the electronics function perfectly. As expected with a genuine vintage instrument from 1985, there are plenty of cosmetic signs of wear, light swirling, and age on the hardware finish, which only adds to its authentic retro character. I tried to include in the pics all the nicks, dings, etc. It's a pretty heavy relic job since it is 40 years old! I bought it with a basic Fender gig bag and I will include that. Sold as described. Please review all photos carefully and feel free to reach out with any questions before purchasing!
