Taylor Hobson Cooke lens 6.5” F4.5

The listing

Taylor Hobson Cooke lens 6.5” F4.5. The all brass lens barrel has very tight tolerance and superb finish. The aperture mechanism is intact and smooth. The triplet design has no cemented glass element nor the possibility of de-lamination. Front glass has 2 minor visible scratches on off center area. This has minimal impact on the image quality. This lens was designed to cover 4x5 large format. I adapted it on Arca-Swiss system. It produced some very unique images with vintage look. The last image was captured with Fuji GFX 50R. Cash or Venmo on pick up only at 1390 Saddle Rack Street, 95126. Cooke lenses hold the highlight detail better and produce smoother, more natural gradations. Comparing to sterile and harshly sharp modern day Plasmat lenses, Cooke lenses are sharp with richer and more interesting character, as their sharpness is contrasted by Cooke’s unique smooth sharp-unsharp transition, plus the round quality of bokeh.
