The listing

Note: not for trade The 86T Rocking Stool remains a celebrated example of Isamu Noguchi's belief that everyday, functional objects should be treated as sculpture. It is part of the permanent collection of various design museums, including the Cooper Hewitt, MOMA, and the Smithsonian Design Museum. Noguchi's Rocking Stool was produced by Knoll from 1955 to 1959, and then later reissued by the Noguchi Foundation in collaboration with Vitra from 2001 to 2009. Its production has since been discontinued. • walnut-stained maple wood • 16.75" seat height • 14.25" seat diameter Located for pickup in Jamaica Plain, Boston
