The letter "N" stands for "Neapolitan," which is a mark of high quality rooting from the Royal Factory in Napes since 1759. ♦ This is a classic figurine produced by the world famous and highly collectible Capodimonte region in Italy. In the USA these pieces are VERY RARE. This particular piece was purchased by my mother on trip to Florence, Italy in the 1980's. ♦ COA: The best Certificate of Authenticity for Capodimonte is the trademark of the House of Capodimonte sealed into the piece under fire during production. You can see the CAPODIMONTE name and the trademarked "N" logo in the photos in several places on this piece: near the artist's signature and on the Warranty / Guaranty itself. ◽There is also a place near the base on the back side that says "Capodimonte, Made in Italy with the "N" and number "115". The actual COA / warranty has its own number. ◽When evaluating the authenticity of a Capodimonte piece of art, you want to make sure the porcelain has Capodimonte tags. Capodimonte has a Certificate of Authenticity Tag attached to each piece. This Tag usually features a yellow-brown scroll icon where the text, "Certificate of Authenticity" is written - the Tag INCLUDED has this scroll on the front of the Tag and is so identified, in Italian. ◽ See photos for all of these identifying marks, trademarks and details. ♦ The Artistic Design that comes to life in this Work of Art is wonderfully detailed and features a everyone's favorite PINOCCHIO with his father GEPPETTO creating him. ◽ This is NOT a piece produced by Disney, this was made long before Disney started collaborating on porcelain figurines. This is an Italian artists' interpretation of the beloved Disney classic! ◽ Lots of BEAUTIFUL DETAILS, from the burning candle on the table, to Gepetto's outfit, glasses, tools, tobacco pipe, facial & hair features, to the AMAZING PINOCCHIO he is creating from a single piece of wood. Only the head has been created so far - Geppetto looks like he's awaiting inspiration for his next cut. Great details in the furniture too, the table and chair.
