MSA listing 1984 Hunter 22 Project boat...Many things have been done, added to this one of a kind example of a Hunter 22 which has been in the process of being prepped for racing, long range cruising. Mass ive list of hardware, rigging and ad-ons which would be luxuries on a boat twice her size. I started this project with the ideas of loop cruising and possibly a crossing, but due to health concerns, I can’t spend that much time away from land. The hull is in very good condition and is very clean. The bottom is 97% sanded to the gelcoat, which, once moved can be completed in under an hour, and is then ready for barrier coat and anti fouling. Various wood parts have been replaced with starboard. Besides barrier coat, you will need sheets and halyards, and a few other details, but this will not take long to put into the water. Includes the following… 4) Lewmar 16 winches with covers Fully refurbished 3) Maxwell winches fully refurbished 2) winch handles Edson pedestal with wheel, and guard, will need steering connected. Standing rigging inspected, cleaned and rolled, labeled, ready to go back on. Vang and mainsheet in VG condition Traveller system fully refurbished and powder coated. Mounted with Starboard feet. Brand new New Found Metal Portlights, in the box, includes sealant. Fire extinguisher – new Interior aft bulkhead – new – Starboard New galley covers Starboard NS New port side storage cover panel – Starboard Electric horn mounted in combing AC hooked up with SS 30a shore power inlet Blue sea 12 pos. fuse block- new, installed Blue sea 8 position rocker panel -new in box Blue Sea AC power conditioner – new in box 2) bilge pumps, 2) bilge pump switches -new in box Winch handle holder Extra 2 position deck organizer, extra jammers, lots of additional hardware…. Wood for cabinets/storage/electrical panel, helmseat… The mast is mostly stripped, almost ready for paint. The cribbing is included so you have something to sit it on while you finish personalizing the boat to fit your needs. A great deal of time and money has already been spent on this boat to get it to the current stage. Most of the gotcha’s that come with a project boat I’ve already got. If my circumstances were different, I’d never let go of her, especially as close as she is to completion, but now I’d like to see her wind up with someone who will complete her and sail her, as is meant to be. I can let you know who I used, but I can’t guarantee that he’s currently available. This is a value that you will not see again any time soon. As a project, it’s mostly done, and done to a high standard. What remains to do will give youto the opportunity to get a solid boat, bristling with great quality rigging, and finished as you wish, at a very low price, without the massive amount of labor typically associated with starting from scratch, nor of doing all of the work that I have already completed.
