Vintage Burke Punchiron & Hy-Speed Golf Set (1930s–1950s) w/Period Bag

$175 -- Selling my grandfather's vintage Burke golf set, used between the 1930s and 1950s. He was a member at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, IL, and most likely purchased the clubs in the Chicago area. What's included (15 clubs + McGregor cow hide bag): • 9 irons – Burke 201 Punchiron, numbered 2 through 10, True Temper Dynamic steel shafts, recorded w/iron # R1812 • 4 woods – Burke 1 Hy-Speed S1508B, True Temper Dynamic steel shafts (large persimmon heads) • 2 putters – period Burke • 1 McGregor golf bag – appears to be same-period as the clubs Condition: Very Good to Excellent. These have been stored indoors and have not seen regular play in 65+ years. Some expected age-related wear consistent with 70–90 year old clubs, but overall in remarkable shape. Notes for collectors: • Burke was a well-respected clubmaker based in Newark, Ohio (founded 1910 by a former MacGregor manager). The "Punchiron" and "Hy-Speed" lines are sought-after vintage models. • True Temper Dynamic shafts are the direct predecessor to the legendary Dynamic Gold – a nice touch for a set this old. • The Punchiron irons with recorded serial numbers add to collectibility.
