Higgins irons (hickory shaft) 1920s–1930s Period leather golf bag 1920s–1930s Notes on dating & value drivers: • J.C. Higgins was a Sears brand (1908–1962), named after Sears comptroller John Higgins. The "Sporting Goods" label and all-wood construction point to the early-to-mid 1930s most likely. The "Mohawk" line was their mid-range golf brand. • Burke Golfrite — Burke was a mid-tier brand active in the 1920s–40s. "Golfrite" was their product line name. • Ray Mangoum and Essar are very obscure brands with little auction history. "Ceromium" on the Essar putter likely refers to a proprietary alloy or coating (possibly a chromium-based finish marketed under a trade name). • The hickory-shaft Mohawk irons are the most valuable individual items in the set. Four in a set is a nice grouping.
