-The short version It’s a 1987 Dodge ram 150 It currently isn’t running but was running Has cosmetic imperfections I have the original tail gate , it was removed from the truck when I bought it and I never put it back on. I have a clean and clear title in hand Asking 2000$ or best offer. The long version /finer details. The truck was acquired from a work friend whose son owned the truck. The truck was bought to be a project but that son ended up getting into trucking and the truck sat for a year. It was running when they bought the truck and parked it. It was not running when I bought it. I had it towed to my house and figured I could get it running and have some fun with it. We all know the age old story of just not enough time and money to get around to doing it like I’d like to. So why I believe it isn’t running is a few things. One - it needs a new battery , I bought one that I will include with the truck. Two- there is a freeze plug on the side of the engine block that needs to be replaced because the plug that’s in there now cracked so it’s not holding coolant. I have already sourced and purchased the replacement but haven’t installed it because I believe I will have to remove the exhaust manifold to access it. I believe that after that it should fire right up. The body isn’t perfect , you can see several spots that someone tried to repair dents with Bondo. This was before me. There is rust in the floor pan but that’s the worst of it. The car fax has this truck at over 300k miles but the odometer only says 25,607 so I have a theory that the engine was rebuilt/replaced. I have not been able to confirm that. I have been able to confirm the engine isn’t seized up, it still turns by hand. The truck is pretty solid and could be fun as someone else’s project. The engine is a 3.6 slant 6. I’m asking 2000$ for it or best offer of course. I will send the vin if someone is genuinely interested. Thanks.
