This genuine vintage 49-star U.S. flag flew during one of the shortest-lived chapters of the Stars and Stripes, official only from July 4, 1959, to July 4, 1960, after Alaska joined the Union and before Hawaii made it 50. Picture the moment: Eisenhower in the White House, Nixon and Khrushchev squaring off in the famous “Kitchen Debate,” Castro seizing power in Cuba, and NASA introducing the Mercury Seven as the Space Race heated up. Postwar prosperity was booming, gas cost about a quarter a gallon, the St. Lawrence Seaway opened for business, and Americans packed theaters for Ben-Hur while Barbie made her debut and rock ’n’ roll mourned “The Day the Music Died.” This 2'x3' beauty is crafted from original cotton with embroidered stars. It shows honest age and is in decent shape, unmounted and ready to frame, fly, or make a bold statement on your wall. It’s a true conversation piece from a single remarkable year, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Grab your piece of history today! Incidentally, I found a similar one, here is the link.
