Antique Saratoga State Seal 5 gal Glass Water Bottle with crate

The listing

Antique Saratoga State Seal 5 gal Glass Water Bottle with original wooden spring loaded shipping crate. The spring loaded crate is a cool design to keep the bottle safely snug. This vintage glass water jug is a nice bit of history that will make a great addition to any collection or as a decorator piece. Last used for wine making in the 70’s. There is no raised, stamped or painted lettering on sides of the bottle, only raised symbols on the bottom signifying it was made by Owens-Illinois Glass Co., likely in 1931 based on the bottom symbols identified on the internet. It is in excellent condition for its age. The original wood spring crate is lettered "This TWOPLEX Patented Container Mfg. By Fred C White, Inc.234 Water St. N.Y.C.” on two sides and “Saratoga State Seal” on the other 2 sides.
