The listing

1960 Epiphone Century. Excellent condition for it’s age! 16 3/8” wide non-cutaway thin body, 25 1/2” scale. Plays wonderfully… Sounds killer, especially through a lower watt tube amp turned up to give you all that tube grit tone you are seeking while using the guitar’s volume knob to clean it up (or not). Throw all those pedals away! Epiphone introduced the Century model in 1939. They were purchased by Gibson in 1957 and Gibson took over production of this model in 1958. This is basically a Gibson ES-125, made by Gibson, and sporting a coveted Gibson P90 pickup from the era. Gibson added the P90 to the Century model in 1960 replacing the New York pickup on prior models. In 1961, they removed the cool looking peghead plate, making 1960 the real sweet spot for this one. Excellent condition, all original. Minimal age-expected checking. Only very mild dings and one area of very superficial buckle rash on the back that does not go through the finish. Serial # A4149. Comes with excellent condition, sturdy, form-fitting, after-market case. $2200, obo. Serious inquiries only! Cash, PayPal or Venmo. Would possibly consider trade for very select items listed below. If interested, please respond with your phone number and some other identifier so I know you are not evil spam! If this post is up, the item is still available…. Thanks! Items possibly/selectively considered for (partial) trade: Alembic bass, late 60's/early 70's Fender Jazz bass (4-bolt), vintage Yamaha SG-7, Moog Taurus pedals, other cool vintage basses or guitars, unique instruments. No more amps, thanks.
