Vintage HH Scott 299D Integrated Tube Stereo Amplifier RESTORED!

The listing

Vintage HH Scott 299D Tube Integrated Amplifier RESTORED! Compact yet high powered tube amp. Uses the famous 7591 power tubes and good for 40 watts per channel. Phono record player inputs. Additional inputs for your Bluetooth, iPod, Streamer, or any line-level / headphone-level source. One of the best integrated tube amplifiers made in the 1960's. I have an LK72 posted as well. They are very similar but the factory-built 299D adds power tube bias and balance controls allowing more flexibility in tube choices, speaker-switch & headphone jack, rumble filter, gold face and knobs, and cool lights. Fully restored with new over-spec'ed main power supply caps, upgraded bias rectifier, internal E-caps replaced, all other caps and functions tested in good health. Added full set of circuit grounding wires to eliminate dependence on aging chassis rivets for circuit grounding. Added 5-way speaker binding posts. Full set of vintage old-stock power tubes and new pre-amp tubes. Fully cleaned, polished, deoxed, etc. Excellent overall condition, very clean and no rust. Hundred$ in parts and many hours put into this. Priced at $850 which is much better than worse-condition parts-only units on ebay. Why take chances on buying some unknown unrestored unit from ebay? Buy local, fully tested. Plug and Play! Can demo. CASH pick up in SE Vancouver WA, just minutes east of 205 bridge from Portland OR. Can ship with buyer paying fees. email via craigslist link or texxxt: 3sixO - too too seven - 72ten
