For sale is a combination of a drill press and a set of compatible forstner-type drill bits. As these items are intended to be used together, I won't sell these items individually, so please don't ask. As part of the purchase, you'll get a Craftsman brand corded, electric-powered Drill Press. This is model number 137.219000. More complete technical specification are listed below, but a summary is here: This is a benchtop or table-top variety and should be bolted unto a sturdy stand for stability. Such a stand is NOT included in the purchase. The drill press measures about 10" wide, 19" deep, and 24" tall, and it weighs about 30 pounds. This drill press has an 10" swing range, which refers to the maximum diameter of a workpiece. In other words, there is a maximum of a 5" throat clearance between the between the center of the drill bit and the support pole that hold the press upright. This has a powerful 6-Amp variable-speed motor that operates between 620 and 3,100 RPM. You can control the spindle speed by changing the settings of the rubber belt that connects the motor to the drill press spindle. The rubber belt is located at the top of the press. There are five (5) spindle speed settings as follows: A) 620 RPM, B) 1,100 RPM, C) 1,720 RPM, D) 2,340 RPM, and E) 3,100 RPM. The motor controls the spinning chuck, where you insert your drill bits. The chuck accommodates drill bits with a shaft measuring up to 0.5" in diameter. The original key to tighten the chuck is included in the purchase. To drill, you first secure your work-piece unto the drill press table top, which measures 6.5" wide and 7.5" deep. This table can swivel up to 90 degrees in either direction (left or right) from center. And the table is height adjustable up to 11.5" using a standard rotating lever. Please note that the tool never came with a table fence when new, so none is included in the purchase. It's probably better to secure your work-piece to the table top using standard clamps (which are not included). You then place your drill bit into the above-mentioned chuck. After turning the motor on, you lower the chuck unto the work-piece using a standard rotating lever on the right side. The maximum spindle stroke is 2", which is the maximum distance the chuck moves down during the drilling process. The press has a standard depth-stop mechanism to control the drilling height. The drill press has an integrated laser light, which Craftsman calls "Laser Trac". This technology projects a standard red-color laser light crosshair unto the table top to better gauge where the cutting bit will bite into your work piece. The motor, chuck, the vertical support pole change mechanism all works perfectly. The entire machine operates without problems. You can test it before the purchase as confirmation. It's also in excellent cosmetic condition. There are some small scratches on some surfaces of the external housing. But these cosmetic issues don't harm the tool's functionality, which is robust.
