Mining - Drill steel, 7/8" hex, most drilled and clear for water& bits
The listing
This is surplus equipment from our mining operation that was used and acquired by the former owner who was a licensed blaster. The drill steel lengths are from ~24" to 8 feet, and one drill steel that is 13 feet in length. Most use the thread-on bits (sold as a bulk lot) with some that use knock-on bits with brass shims (recommended). The lot of drill bits are sold as a single lot and include carbide and tool steel, thread-on and knock-on styles, and straight and cross style cutting edges. I believe there are about 125 bits total most used, some used-good and some new. All are rusty from years of storage. Price for the steel is $25 for 48" length and under, $35 for 4-5 1/2 feet, $45 for 6-8 feet, and $130 for the 15' steel which has a carbide cutter at the business end. The knock-on steels and bits are standard 12 degree taper, the threaded ends are left hand. There are two spiral steels (6' and 8') that have an 11 degree taper, and were used at the Lowell Mine in El Dorado County to drill wet mud and cemented gravels. The are $45 each.
