The end result is vocals that sound extremely detailed and low-end has nice punch but never gets overbearing which sounds great. This is the type of microphone that requires little to no EQ at all, truly a fantastic option from Beyerdynamic and I prefer it a bit more over a stock M500. Lastly, this mic has no foam inside the grille and uses a cloth like material so you do not need to worry about anything falling apart inside. The new ribbon will also take a lot of worry out about if you'll be receiving a microphone that is truly working well or if you might get sold a dud. Just treat this microphone with a bit of care and it should last a very long time, especially since it was recently serviced so it is ready to go. If anyone wants to try an M500 with a bit more oomph thanks to the new RCA style ribbon, this beauty sounds excellent!
