FOR REUPHOLSTERY: Century Furn. Louis XVI Oak Open Arm Chairs, A Pair
The listing
This pair of Louis XVI style open arm chairs by Century Furniture combines heirloom quality American craftsmanship with a classic and timeless design that will never go out of style. The dining chairs feature solid oak construction with a neutral medium-brown stain, the perfect timeless wood tone that will outlive any trend. The chair frames are rock solid and weighty with beautifully carved with oval medallion shaped backs, scrolled open arms, and rosette corner blocks above tapered fluted legs ending in toupie feet. The seats are generously sized, amply cushioned, and well sprung. The chairs are currently upholstered in a Napoleonic bee patterned cream silk that needs replacing with the fabric of your choice. Missing the Century Furniture label but came from an identical set of dining side chairs that are signed. The circa 1990s arm chairs are in excellent structural condition. The wood frames, springs, and cushioning are all fully functional and do not need replacing. Minor scattered wear on the wood finish. The upholstery is in poor condition with stains and wear. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chairs. Each chair measures 38" tall, 23" wide, and 22" deep with a 20" seat heigh and 28.5” arm height.
