Cibachrome Print of Classic Car Hudson Commodore

The listing

Selling a hard-to-find Cibachrome photographic print of classic car (Hudson Commodore). Cibachrome printing is a complicated photographic darkroom practice. It involved contrast masking to tame the inherent high contrast material. It produced most vibrant color prints with the highest archival quality. But the production of Cibachrome material ceased operation in 2012, making all the existing prints more rare and valuable. The frame measures at 26 x 19.5”. The displayed image area is 19 x 13”. The style is of the work of Greg Girard, but there is no signature of such. I took the frame apart to clean the glass and re-mount the print with archival board. The characteristic dark border and mirror-like surface is the indication of a Cibachrome print. $250/OBO. Cash or Venmo on pickup at 1390 Saddle Rack Street, 95126.
