No gas needed, insurance is inexpensive, there is limited maintenance required, and no outlet upgrades need (been doing daily driving off of basic 120V outlet for many years). On top of that, it is very enjoyable to drive with great acceleration and quick turning. Rear seats fold flat and makes for surprisingly spacious cargo room. Also, between the turning radius and the short length you can park just about anywhere.
