Romweber Neoclassical Credenza ~ Great As TV Stand
The listing
By the early 1900s, Romweber was a major U.S. furniture producer, employing skilled artisans and shipping nationwide. In the 1920s–1950s, the brand became nationally known for quality designs, including French Rococo and Chippendale styles in the early 20th century. The company’s most celebrated line, Viking Oak, launched in 1935 and was inspired by Scandinavian folk design. Made from solid oak with no composite materials, it featured hand-carved details and exceptional quality. The Viking Oak line ran for decades, ending in the late 1980s, and remains highly prized by collectors. In the postwar era, Romweber produced walnut case pieces, storage cabinets with olive‑ash and burl‑wood inlays, brass hardware, and solid oak credenzas and dining tables designed by Harold Schwartz. These pieces, especially the Viking Oak line, are now sought after for their durability, craftsmanship, and historical significance. -CREDENZA W/BURLED WALNUT -MANUFACTURE: ROMWEBER -IN THE STYLE OF: NEOCLASSICAL -DATE OF MANUFACTURE: 1972 -MATERIALS: WOOD - WALNUT -CONDITION: VERY GOOD -WEAR: CONSISTENT OF AGE / THERE ARE NO CRACKS, CHIPS, SCRATCHES OR SPLITS - NO STAIN WEAR - CLEAN & FRESH -DIMENSIONS: 74" WIDE X 19.5" DEEP X 27.5" HIGH -LOCATION: ST LOUIS 63132 -THIS SELLER ALSO HAS THE MATCHING DINING TABLE & CHAIRS LISTED SEPARATELY -$1290
