For Sale - Gilbert Erector Set w/Original Motor. This A.C. Gilbert Co. Erector-Set is in an original blue box dated sometime in the mid 1930s, but includes a set of instructions and some newer parts that are from the 60s to 70s, when the company was owned by Gabriel industries, Inc. lots of the original 1930s parts are here which includes the actual 120v plug-in motor. (Something you’re not going to find on any toy today.) The motor is an open-armature type P51 that is the most highly prized for collectors. There are still 4 original steel wheels, and the round metal cylinder and funnel shaped cap used to build the oscillating engine depicted on the inside of the cover. There is a plastic tub full of the original screws and nuts and quite possibly two original wrenches. I have no use for this and I am not a collector.
