The listing

Up for sale is a classic, heavy-duty Richards-Wilcox Quick-Release Woodworking Vise. Manufactured in the early-to-mid 20th century by the Richards-Wilcox Mfg. Co. out of Aurora, IL, these vintage American-made cast iron workhorses are legendary among traditional woodworkers for their bulletproof build quality. • Mechanics: Features the highly sought-after gravity-drop quick-release system. Turn the handle counter-clockwise to instantly slide the jaw open or closed, then turn clockwise to lock down with massive pressure. • Condition: Clean casting with zero structural cracks or welds. The guide bars are straight, the Acme screw threads are sharp, and the internal phosphor-bronze half-nut catches perfectly. • Jaw Width: 10-inch Perfect upgrade for a custom bench build or a premium restoration project. They truly don't make them like this anymore—this vise will easily outlive its next owner. Located in lower Buck County, can be picked up Monday through Friday between 7am & 2pm in Northeast Philadelphia near Harbison & Roosevelt Blvd.
