The listing

This is a user Graflex Super Speed Graphic 4x5. The camera is clean overall cosmetic condition, and in fully functional condition. It has scratches and dusts. But is missing the commonly gone battery door for the double batteries. Batteries are included as seen in last photo. The lens has a repair spot on the part that holds the cable release threaded mount. This is how I received it, but it seems to work as it should. There are two infinity tabs. One set for 135 mm and one set for a 90 mm. You flip one down in accordance with which lens you are using. Read is for the 135 that is on it. The shutter wines and shoots at all speeds like it should it opens and closes with the bottom lever. The aperture opens and closes as it should. Everything is smooth on the Lever side. The sports Finder is there, but I never used it. The fellows are in great shape and the plate extends smoothly. Even the rangefinder works. Complete with external frame line rangefinder as well. Giving you three ways to focus, compose and frame. The super Graflex is a great first , robust , compact 4x5. Built as a press camera, with its original 1000th 135mm Optar lens, it was made to hand hold able while sporting a fedora and smoking a cigar. The shutter works at all levels, including 1/1000s, but its accuracy can be debated all day long among seasoned photographers. The rangefinder functions well, focuses well, and very fun. The bellows are sealed tight with no light leaks that I can see visually inspecting with a flash light. The sportsfinder lifts out easy. The viewfinder appears to function. Focusing scale on the top works as it should Lens optic is good with small dusts. The infinite stops are present firmly. Ground glass is nice and clean, and hood pops out crisply. The leather handle is in good condition The Optar 1000 lens is cocked by spinning the lens hood until it clicks. At this age most are temperamental. This is why you don’t see them often. Most the time , they have been removed and replaced with something more robust and less finicky. This is the original. Hard to find and still operational. The camera itself is not pristine. But being that it’s 60 years old and used it’s in great condition. Would make a great display piece or user if you’re just getting into 4 x 5 and want a solid name aluminum body camera. Channel your inner Weegee , just in time for Halloween. Shoot first and Ask questions later. But check out the photos for condition.
