These twin mattresses have been used sparingly for about 10 years in a guest room. The versatility is great in that the lower bed can pop up to the height of the other to create a bed the size of a king. Or it can be separated to allow two kids a peaceful night of sleep. If you are in a situation with kids who need decent beds, but you can't afford the cost right now, let me know. The foundation of the top mattress is a sturdy metal frame in white. The bottom bed is on a roll out trundle frame. They have always been used with mattress pads and fitted sheets. There are no stains or rips in the mattresses. This set comes with two mattress pads, two sets of white sheets, and two tan thermal blankets. It is currently disassembled and ready to load when you come to pick up.
