Very old antique 1700's - early 1800's blacksmith made (no manufacturers name, layered) wrought iron tailor's sad pressing iron in very good condition. Absolutely beautiful 18th century design wrought iron tailor sad iron. Magnificently hand crafted using one layer of wrought iron at a time. The blacksmith would keep adding one layer of ore at a time pounding and hammering away, heating and cooling, until his iron was complete. Measures 9-1/2 inches long. Could be repurpose as a door stop, shelf display, paperweight, etc.
