This minivan has been in the family since 2016 when it had only about 40,000 miles on it. It has been a great vehicle – very reliable and a comfortable ride all these years. The check engine light came on a couple of months ago and the code is P06DD which is "Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck Off". It indicates that the dual-stage oil pump is stuck in a low position. Last week I took it to my local repair shop and they diagnosed it down to the oil pump needing to be replaced. Estimated cost to have this done is $1,550. (Autozone sells a replacement pump for about $265.99). The van drives well and is in good shape overall. Fixing it is not necessarily urgent, but with the check engine light on, it won't pass the state inspection. Before the P06DD code showed up I was hoping to sell it at the Kelley Blue Book price in the range of $4,275-$5,000. However, since I no longer pull oil pans to replace oil pumps and fix them myself as I’ve done in the past, I'm offering it to an enterprising individual who could fix it and either make a nice profit on it, or keep it and enjoy a great vehicle for years to come. Of course, an equally enterprising person could buy it, have the oil pump replaced at a local shop and keep it for their own use. Contact me if you’re interested – serious inquiries only.
