What’s Good: Chicago built Straight 20" frame & fork Both derailleurs (Schwinn‑approved front, Shimano GT500 rear) Center‑pull Schwinn‑approved brakes 27×1¼ steel wheels — rusty but spin freely and will clean up nicely Crankset, bars, stem, shifters all present Original blue metallic paint still looks decent for its age What Needs Work: Fenders are rusted (50% chrome loss rear fender) — best to discard Chain is frozen from rust — needs replacement No seat installed Why it’s a good project: If you remove the fenders, install a new chain, and add a seat, it becomes a functional rider.
